Impressions about 33th FISAE Congress Istanbul 2010
Dear Hasip,
Has passed four months after the Congress in Istanbul, but I with very warm feeling remember till now these meetings. The congress has been very well organised, there were no problems, there were very interesting excursions and, certainly unforgettable meetings with artists and collectors. The Istanbul Congress was remembered by the friendly atmosphere and the present hospitality. Big to you thanks for the remarkable organisation of the Congress! It is something incredible: one month passed since the Congress’ end but my soul and mind still in Istanbul… If you can organize new Exlibris Congress in Istanbul I will come again I am sure!!!

Back 2 weeks in Italy and Germany (the day after the congress!) I would like to say thank you for all the beautiful thinks in Istanbul. It was a great congress, perfect in organization, exhibitions, the university facilities, the excursions, the town – all together a complete and perfect success!
We are going to Greece on Thursday until middle of October, – and then I will contact your about a exhibition of Turkish exlibris in our museum.

Even if we didn’t have time to talk together in private, just let me express my best thanks for the very excellent organized meeting that you gave us. It was really excellent and everything was fine. There I have got a lot of lessons about how to organize and I hope now that I met Vasilis and Aphodite in private to have the time to work on our plans of founding a Greek association of exlibris. This way we shall give to other people the opportunity to learn about this special art.
Many thanks again and I hope to have the opportunity to meet and talk in private in the future. Maybe in Crete or in Istanbul again.

I did receive yesterday in good order the excellent Competition-Catalogue,…beautifull! .. And beautifull printed too. There was [and is] a lot of of work to do. I already opened the 3 Catalogues you did send to me by E-mail. The quality was also perfekt on my MacBook. About 2 1/2 month ago you did send me a mail to send you my bookplates in JPG 300 resolution. I was at that time on a trip through holland in my camper, and I missed that mail, sorry. But the copy in the Catalogue is OK for me. You don’t need the 300 any longer now, I suppose? If you want it, let me know. I have no word but only thank you very very much for such a wonderful catalogue for my exlibiris. How many hours you worked for scanning and arranging captions for each! I feel it great honour to have my exlibris printed in such a beautiful catalogue.Hamanishi would be delighted to see his exlibris used on the cover. My Japanese translation seems quite all right. You have an assistant who reads Japanese? Chinese group did a good job. Their translation seems majestic, although I cannot read the language.
